The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will inspire students aged 14–18 in small classes and collaborate with a dedicated team of educators. You will deliver high-quality lessons and contribute to a school that consistently achieves outstanding academic results and fosters a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to students aged 14–18 across IGCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Collaborate with the Natural Sciences Department on curriculum planning and specification delivery.
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in fully equipped laboratories.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including supervision of Personal Development Projects and student clubs.
  • Contribute to pastoral care by tutoring a small group of students.
  • Attend and support school events, including open days and trips.
  • Prepare and mark assessments in line with the school’s academic standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry.
  • Teaching experience in A Levels or International Baccalaureate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IGCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Experience managing and leading groups of students.
  • High level of IT literacy.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with extracurricular activities, professional or voluntary.
  • Involvement in science competitions or Olympiads.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with the Enrichment Programme and scholarship initiatives.
