The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This role offers the chance to shape young minds, deliver high-quality education aligned with the English National Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabi, and contribute to a vibrant, student-centered learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabi.
  • Foster a supportive and enriched classroom environment that promotes the development of the whole child.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assessment to support student learning and progress.
  • Act as a pastoral tutor, contributing to the well-being and personal development of students.
  • Participate actively in the school's Extracurricular programme, including competitions and events.
  • Support the House system and contribute to the school's community spirit and values.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry in line with the English National Curriculum for KS3 Science.
  • Strong knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Chemistry.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective feedback and assessment.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with personalised learning strategies.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities and community events.
  • Experience with the House system or similar structures.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
