The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students from Pre-Nursery to A Level. You will also contribute to the school’s pastoral systems and extra-curricular programme, helping to shape well-rounded, motivated learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum.
  • Support students of all abilities, from Pre-Nursery to A Level, with a focus on academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s extra-curricular programme.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and pastoral care within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with at least two years of teaching experience.
  • Fluent English speaker with experience of delivering the British curriculum.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, with the ability to teach up to A Level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to developing innovative and creative approaches to learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with modern educational technologies and interactive teaching methods.
