The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher - Key Stage 4 and 5 to join its expanding Science department. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth, while working in a supportive and innovative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Key Stage 4 and 5 Chemistry according to the National Curriculum of England and Wales, CIE IGCSE, CIE AS/A2, and IBDP syllabi.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Support students through form tutoring and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development and subject-specific training.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare and deliver assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 4 and 5 Chemistry.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England and Wales, CIE IGCSE, CIE AS/A2, and IBDP Chemistry syllabi.
- Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 4 and 5 learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience with Form Tutoring.
- Background in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Familiarity with the ECT (Early Career Teacher) process.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and inclusive environment.
