The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher - Key Stage 4 and 5 to join its expanding Science department. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth, while working in a supportive and innovative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Key Stage 4 and 5 Chemistry according to the National Curriculum of England and Wales, CIE IGCSE, CIE AS/A2, and IBDP syllabi.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Support students through form tutoring and pastoral care.
  • Participate in professional development and subject-specific training.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare and deliver assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 4 and 5 Chemistry.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England and Wales, CIE IGCSE, CIE AS/A2, and IBDP Chemistry syllabi.
  • Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
  • Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 4 and 5 learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience with Form Tutoring.
  • Background in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Familiarity with the ECT (Early Career Teacher) process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and inclusive environment.
