The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chinese Teacher to join our MYP and DP programme. This role is ideal for someone with experience in teaching both Chinese A and Chinese B courses and a deep understanding of Chinese language, history, and culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, inquiry-based learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach MYP and DP Chinese A and B courses in accordance with IB standards
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote student-centred inquiry-based learning
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through homeroom and PSHE responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and well-being
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with parents and students to support student success
  • Adapt to a dynamic, international school environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Undergraduate degree or higher in Chinese Language and Literature or Chinese Literature
  • Recognized teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching MYP and DP Chinese A and B courses
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese language, history, and cultural heritage
  • Fluency in Mandarin and excellent command of English
  • Experience in a bilingual workplace

Preferred

  • Experience teaching MYP Language Acquisition or DP Chinese A
  • Demonstrated commitment to pastoral care and student well-being
  • Experience in an international school setting
