Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chinese language lessons to Secondary School students.
- Design and implement engaging and interactive teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum.
- Support students in developing their language skills in both academic and real-world contexts.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and mutual support.
- Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and best practices in language instruction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role.
- A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in languages or a closely related field.
- A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS).
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
- Experience teaching languages (Chinese) to a high standard.
Preferred
- A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject.
- Experience in teaching Chinese as a First Language from KS3 to (I)GCSE.
- Experience working with students where Chinese is their first or second language.
