The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Class Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school community. The role involves teaching a class of approximately 20 students in the Junior School, with a focus on delivering high-quality education aligned with the English National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Create a positive, stimulating, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional learning needs and EAL learners.
- Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress regularly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and progression in teaching and learning.
- Support the pastoral care and well-being of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and relationships.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and meetings, contributing to the wider life of the school.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified primary/junior class teacher (KS1/KS2).
- Secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to supporting and engaging all children.
- Ability to create a learning environment that develops resilience, confidence, creativity, and independence in pupils.
- Strong team player with the ability to liaise with parents, staff, and other professionals.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in a British or international school setting.
- Knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
- E-learning and IT competency.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies.
