The Opportunity:
As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of a school dedicated to supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be part of a forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality, tailored education in a brand-new, state-of-the-art environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEMH challenges
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student well-being and academic progress
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans that promote student growth and resilience
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages emotional and social development
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching to enhance teaching practice
- Contribute to the development of the school’s culture, vision, and educational provision
- Promote student well-being through the use of school facilities such as the fitness suite and sensory courtyard
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Primary and/or Secondary education
- Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEMH and other diverse learning needs
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with early intervention and support strategies for students with SEMH
- Previous experience in a special educational needs setting
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
