The Opportunity:

As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of a school dedicated to supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be part of a forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality, tailored education in a brand-new, state-of-the-art environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEMH challenges
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student well-being and academic progress
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans that promote student growth and resilience
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages emotional and social development
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic student support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching to enhance teaching practice
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s culture, vision, and educational provision
  • Promote student well-being through the use of school facilities such as the fitness suite and sensory courtyard

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Primary and/or Secondary education
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEMH and other diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with early intervention and support strategies for students with SEMH
  • Previous experience in a special educational needs setting
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
  • Early Careers Teachers are welcome to apply
