The Opportunity:

A Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) is needed to support the learning and development of Year 1/2 students in a vibrant and supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and support learning needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and practices that align with the Trust's vision and values.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support student learning and development.
  • Mentor and motivate students to achieve their full potential through positive and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
  • Experience teaching Year 1/2 students or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or other specialist areas.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in the classroom.
