The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Cleaner to help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the school. This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of a school that values a clean and safe environment for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness across all areas of the school, including classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and within agreed schedules.
- Assist with the maintenance of hygiene and sanitation in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Site Supervisor promptly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use cleaning equipment safely.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the school’s operations.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials are stored correctly and used efficiently.
- Support the school in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for students and visitors.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in cleaning or related work, preferably in an educational setting.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks to a high standard.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or similar educational institution.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Previous experience with manual cleaning tasks and the use of cleaning equipment.
