The Opportunity:

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the school’s mission of excellence. This position ensures that all spaces are kept to the highest standards, contributing directly to the well-being and learning experience of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all cleaning operations across the school site.
  • Ensure that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas meet the required standards.
  • Liaise with other staff and departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Implement and enforce cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Address any maintenance or hygiene issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a cleaning or maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working in an educational setting is desirable.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or similar educational institution.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Experience with managing a team of staff.
  • Understanding of child safety and welfare practices.
