Clerk to AAB role available at a school in the North of England.

The Opportunity:

As Clerk to the Academy Advisory Board (AAB), you will provide essential administrative support and ensure the smooth operation of the AAB. This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to the governance and improvement of a school in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chair and Head of Academy/Principal in the effective functioning of the AAB
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and other documentation for AAB meetings
  • Ensure all administrative tasks related to the AAB are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain communication with AAB members and other relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation of decisions made by the AAB
  • Ensure compliance with governance procedures and standards
  • Provide timely and accurate information to support decision-making processes
  • Maintain records and documentation in line with school and Trust policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with governance procedures and meeting management
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the school

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust
  • Knowledge of education policies and procedures
  • Experience with school governance or advisory boards
  • Flexibility to work on an as-and-when basis
