A school dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism and related social and communication needs. It provides a comprehensive, stage-based curriculum designed to help students develop confidence and independence.
The Opportunity:
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and behavioural development of students. You will deliver tailored psychological interventions, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and help implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess psychological needs of students and deliver targeted interventions
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support student development
- Implement and embed Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Provide expert guidance and training to staff and families
- Supervise Assistant Psychologists and support their professional development
- Deliver one-to-one and group sessions to support student growth
- Ensure interventions are evidence-based and aligned with best practice
- Support students in developing independence and confidence
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with a postgraduate qualification in Psychology
- Experience working with young people with Autism and complex needs
- Background in educational, care, or clinical settings
- Skilled in multi-disciplinary collaboration
- Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
Preferred
- Passion for evidence-based practice and continuous learning
- Experience in training and supporting staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
