Summary:

Clinical Psychologist job opportunity in Pilning, South Gloucestershire. Support students with Autism and related needs.

About the School:

A school dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism and related social and communication needs. It provides a comprehensive, stage-based curriculum designed to help students develop confidence and independence.

The Opportunity:

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and behavioural development of students. You will deliver tailored psychological interventions, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and help implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess psychological needs of students and deliver targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support student development
  • Implement and embed Positive Behaviour Support strategies
  • Provide expert guidance and training to staff and families
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and support their professional development
  • Deliver one-to-one and group sessions to support student growth
  • Ensure interventions are evidence-based and aligned with best practice
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with a postgraduate qualification in Psychology
  • Experience working with young people with Autism and complex needs
  • Background in educational, care, or clinical settings
  • Skilled in multi-disciplinary collaboration
  • Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists

Preferred

  • Passion for evidence-based practice and continuous learning
  • Experience in training and supporting staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
