The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial and Work Based Tutor to support learners on commercial courses and Electrical Installation Apprenticeships. This role involves delivering training, mentoring, and assessing students while contributing to the Internal Quality Assurance process. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring learners achieve their qualifications and meet employer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training to learners on commercial courses and Electrical Installation Apprenticeships.
- Mentor and coach learners through their apprenticeship journey, including workplace visits and assessments.
- Ensure all elements of the apprenticeship, including Functional Skills, are completed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with learners, employers, and internal departments to support the learner journey from enrolment to qualification completion.
- Conduct assessments and provide feedback to ensure learners meet required standards.
- Support the Internal Quality Assurance process to maintain and improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation for all learners in their caseload.
- Provide advice and guidance to learners throughout their course and apprenticeship.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Occupationally competent electrician with evidence such as a relevant electrotechnical NVQ L3 or JIB ‘Approved Electrician’ status.
- Hold the Assessors A1 Award (TDLB D32/D33) or TAQA 301 Award and the V1 Award (TDLB D34) TAQA 401 Award.
- Hold L3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations and 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
- Strong administration, interpersonal, and IT skills.
- Flexibility to work additional hours and undertake substantial travel.
Preferred
- Additional electrical qualifications used within the industry.
- Experience in teaching, training, or basic skills delivery.
