The Opportunity:

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school meets all regulatory requirements, promoting a safe and compliant environment for staff, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Independent Schools Inspectorate regulations.
  • Oversee all health and safety aspects, including risk assessments, fire safety, and emergency planning.
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations and report findings through the online accident recording system.
  • Prepare and submit Ofsted and RIDDOR reports.
  • Develop and review policies to enhance health and safety practices and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with medication administration and recording procedures.
  • Manage and maintain compliance with Food Standards Agency requirements for school kitchens.
  • Handle parent complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and maintain up-to-date safeguarding training.
  • Provide comprehensive induction for new staff in collaboration with relevant department heads.
  • Oversee the Holiday Fun Club provision.
  • Conduct parent tours and provide informative guidance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience as a room leader, deputy manager, or nursery manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and a passion for child development.
  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (e.g., NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education).
  • Organised, flexible, and able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well within a team.

Preferred

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead experience (training available).
  • Degree level education.
  • Keen interest in Health and Safety (NEBOSH qualification is desirable, but training will be provided).
  • Experience in a busy and dynamic educational setting.
