The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Computer Science and ICT Teacher to join our team and support students in developing essential programming and computational thinking skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science and ICT lessons to students at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging curricula with a strong focus on Python programming and computational thinking.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes through innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and the overall vision of the school.
  • Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities within the department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computer Science and ICT.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience in ICT and/or Computer Science within a UK curriculum school.
  • Experience in delivering programming, with a focus on Python.
  • Proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes at GCSE and A Level.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership within the subject area.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with international curricula and teaching standards.
