Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science and ICT lessons to students at both GCSE and A Level.
- Develop and implement engaging curricula with a strong focus on Python programming and computational thinking.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes through innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and the overall vision of the school.
- Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities within the department.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student engagement.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computer Science and ICT.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in ICT and/or Computer Science within a UK curriculum school.
- Experience in delivering programming, with a focus on Python.
- Proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes at GCSE and A Level.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership within the subject area.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Familiarity with international curricula and teaching standards.
