The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver IGCSE and A Level Computer Science courses to high/secondary school students. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Computer Science following the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabus
  • Inspire students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support student learning
  • Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behavior
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s academic community
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students through assessments and evaluations

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in Cambridge Computer Science at the secondary/high school level
  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Computer Science curriculum
  • Ability to create lesson plans that meet diverse student needs
  • Proficient in using educational technology tools relevant to computer science instruction
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in an international or multicultural environment
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) assessment framework
  • Strong record of student achievement and academic results
  • Experience working in a collaborative professional learning community
