The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver IGCSE and A Level Computer Science courses to high/secondary school students. This role offers the chance to inspire students, develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Computer Science following the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabus
- Inspire students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support student learning
- Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behavior
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s academic community
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students through assessments and evaluations
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in Cambridge Computer Science at the secondary/high school level
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Computer Science curriculum
- Ability to create lesson plans that meet diverse student needs
- Proficient in using educational technology tools relevant to computer science instruction
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in an international or multicultural environment
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications
- Familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) assessment framework
- Strong record of student achievement and academic results
- Experience working in a collaborative professional learning community
