Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students across Years 7 to 13.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Technology Faculty to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computer Science and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent achievement and growth.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with IT and BTEC qualifications.
  • Familiarity with teaching Esports and digital technologies.
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular computing activities.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong all-ability ethos.
