Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students across Years 7 to 13.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Technology Faculty to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Computer Science and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent achievement and growth.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive school culture.
Preferred
- Experience with IT and BTEC qualifications.
- Familiarity with teaching Esports and digital technologies.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular computing activities.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong all-ability ethos.
