Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science at GCSE and A-level, ensuring students achieve excellent exam results.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the school to support student progress and development.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Participate in the school’s strategic planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
- Work closely with the EAL team to support students with diverse language needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Fully qualified and experienced Computer Science Teacher with a proven track record of teaching GCSE and A-level courses.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A high standard of English, with native-level speakers preferred.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in an international school environment.
- Familiarity with the British National Curriculum and external examinations such as IGCSE, AS, and A-levels.
- Experience in using technology and digital tools in the classroom.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the school’s strategic plan and long-term goals.
