Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science at GCSE and A-level, ensuring students achieve excellent exam results.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the school to support student progress and development.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Participate in the school’s strategic planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Work closely with the EAL team to support students with diverse language needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified and experienced Computer Science Teacher with a proven track record of teaching GCSE and A-level courses.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A high standard of English, with native-level speakers preferred.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in an international school environment.
  • Familiarity with the British National Curriculum and external examinations such as IGCSE, AS, and A-levels.
  • Experience in using technology and digital tools in the classroom.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the school’s strategic plan and long-term goals.
