Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-impact Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge/UK curriculum.
- Develop students’ computational thinking and technical fluency in programming, algorithms, data structures, and software development.
- Use assessment to inform teaching and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Lead or assist with co-curricular computing activities such as coding clubs, hackathons, and robotics events.
- Ensure best practice in safeguarding, inclusion, and digital citizenship across all computing activities.
- Collaborate with the Computer Science department on curriculum development and student progression.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, or Software Engineering, and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/QTS or international equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science within the Cambridge/UK curriculum.
- Strong classroom practice with inclusive strategies for multilingual learners.
- Confident use of digital tools and platforms such as Google/Microsoft, Git/GitHub Classroom, and coding environments.
Preferred
- Experience with robotics, physical computing (e.g., Micro:bit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi), or cybersecurity.
- Experience teaching at IGCSE/GCSE or A-Level/IB DP Computer Science.
