The Opportunity:
A school in Madrid is seeking a passionate and experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and inspire students in Key Stages 3–4. This role involves preparing students for Edexcel Pearson IGCSE examinations and fostering a love of technology through engaging, innovative lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3–4.
- Contribute to a departmental culture of academic excellence and professional pride.
- Support the implementation of quality-assurance processes to ensure outstanding teaching and learning.
- Collaborate in the development of curriculum plans and teaching resources.
- Model exemplary classroom practice and support colleagues’ professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety.
- Provide cover for staff absence and support whole-school duties as required.
- Help students achieve their academic targets in Computing and Computer Science.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience within the British National Curriculum (UK or international).
- Proven track record of strong classroom practice and positive student outcomes.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning and data-informed planning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships.
Preferred
- Experience teaching iGCSE Computer Science.
- Subject leadership experience or relevant leadership-focused professional development (e.g., NPQ).
