The Opportunity:

A school in Madrid is seeking a passionate and experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and inspire students in Key Stages 3–4. This role involves preparing students for Edexcel Pearson IGCSE examinations and fostering a love of technology through engaging, innovative lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3–4.
  • Contribute to a departmental culture of academic excellence and professional pride.
  • Support the implementation of quality-assurance processes to ensure outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate in the development of curriculum plans and teaching resources.
  • Model exemplary classroom practice and support colleagues’ professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Provide cover for staff absence and support whole-school duties as required.
  • Help students achieve their academic targets in Computing and Computer Science.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience within the British National Curriculum (UK or international).
  • Proven track record of strong classroom practice and positive student outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of assessment for learning and data-informed planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching iGCSE Computer Science.
  • Subject leadership experience or relevant leadership-focused professional development (e.g., NPQ).
