Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Computer Science team, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Deliver and monitor the curriculum across Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
- Inspire and motivate students through innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to expand the role of Computer Science within the school.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in Computer Science education.
- Support the professional development of team members.
- Work with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school objectives.
- Promote digital fluency and the importance of computing in modern society.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computer Science.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of teachers.
- Commitment to raising student achievement and engagement.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum design and development.
- Familiarity with coding, robotics, and other modern computing tools.
- Experience in leading departmental initiatives or projects.
- A track record of innovation in Computer Science education.
- Experience with teaching students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £32,916 to £51,047, plus TLR 2.3.
- Permanent full-time position with a start date in April 2026.
