The Opportunity:

A Computing and IT Teacher is required to inspire and challenge students in an ever-evolving digital world. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, supporting students to achieve excellence in Computing and IT qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across a range of Computing and IT qualifications including GCSE Computer Science, A-Level Computer Science, and Cambridge Nationals in IT.
  • Work collaboratively with the computing and IT department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through high-quality instruction and individualised guidance.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the computing and IT curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that promote computing and IT within the wider school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in computing and IT to ensure a relevant and forward-thinking curriculum.
  • Support the school’s vision of ‘Opportunity and Achievement for All’ through inclusive and inspiring teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computing and IT.
  • Experience in teaching Computing and IT qualifications at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Cambridge Nationals in IT.
  • Experience in delivering AAQ in IT qualifications.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital trends.
  • Experience in developing innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
