As a Computing Curriculum Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of computing education at the school. You will lead, manage, and develop the computing curriculum across all key stages, driving improvements in student attainment and progress. This is an exciting opportunity to influence teaching and learning practices while supporting and developing a passionate team of educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development of the computing curriculum across all key stages.
  • Promote high-quality teaching, learning, and enrichment opportunities in computing.
  • Support and develop staff within the department through mentorship and professional development.
  • Deliver computing lessons at KS3 and Computer Science at KS4.
  • Encourage the integration of creative iMedia into the curriculum where appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment in computing subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to ensure alignment with broader educational goals.
  • Ensure that computing education reflects current industry standards and technological advancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in computing or related subjects.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a department effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of computing curriculum at KS3 and Computer Science at KS4.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in computing.
  • Commitment to promoting student achievement and progress.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Creative iMedia.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience in supporting and mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard computing tools and technologies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
