Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Computing faculty to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes in computing.
- Promote and embed the school’s core values of Courage, Commitment, and Compassion across the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the extracurricular provision in computing.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the faculty to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff within the Computing department.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align faculty goals with school-wide objectives.
- Ensure that all teaching and learning activities are in line with the school’s mission and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong teaching experience in Computing or a related subject.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and students.
- In-depth knowledge of computing curriculum and pedagogy.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a faculty or department.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with modern computing technologies and teaching approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
