Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Computing faculty to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes in computing.
  • Promote and embed the school’s core values of Courage, Commitment, and Compassion across the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the extracurricular provision in computing.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the faculty to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff within the Computing department.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align faculty goals with school-wide objectives.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning activities are in line with the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong teaching experience in Computing or a related subject.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and students.
  • In-depth knowledge of computing curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a faculty or department.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with modern computing technologies and teaching approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
