Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computing lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs
  • Create and implement individualized learning plans that support student progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development
  • Use technology creatively to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to students and parents
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Computing education and incorporate them into teaching
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably with students with special needs
  • Strong knowledge of Computing and digital skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to working in a supportive and inclusive environment

Preferred

  • Experience with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience in developing and delivering individualized learning plans
  • Passion for using Computing to inspire and engage students
