Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computing lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs
- Create and implement individualized learning plans that support student progress
- Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development
- Use technology creatively to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to students and parents
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in Computing education and incorporate them into teaching
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Previous teaching experience, preferably with students with special needs
- Strong knowledge of Computing and digital skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to working in a supportive and inclusive environment
Preferred
- Experience with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience in developing and delivering individualized learning plans
- Passion for using Computing to inspire and engage students
