The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Computing Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through engaging lessons, innovative teaching methods, and the use of cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching computer science and ICT at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Computing, including IGCSE ICT and IBDP Digital Societies (DS).
- Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters independent problem-solving and creativity.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and preparing for IGCSE and IBDP examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
- Utilize state-of-the-art facilities and interactive technology to create engaging learning environments.
- Encourage students to take risks, learn from mistakes, and embrace challenges.
- Participate in the school’s enrichment programme and co-curricular activities.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of computing and education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Computing, ICT, or related subjects.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, ideally including IGCSE and IBDP.
- Strong knowledge of computer science and programming concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
Preferred
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme.
- Familiarity with the British National Curriculum and IPC framework.
- Experience in using interactive technology in the classroom.
- Ability to contribute to co-curricular and enrichment activities.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and a passion for innovation in education.
