We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Computing Teacher (Part-Time) to join our thriving department and inspire the next generation of digital innovators. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computing, iMedia, and Enterprise to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Support students in understanding evolving technologies, including physical computing, programming, and digital media.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching resources and curriculum content.
- Integrate new technologies and industry trends into lessons to promote curiosity and a love for learning.
- Provide individualised support to students of varying abilities to ensure they achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s computing curriculum and departmental initiatives.
- Engage in professional development and stay up to date with industry advancements.
- Promote a culture of innovation, resilience, and student motivation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computing, iMedia, and Enterprise.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Computing, or willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
- Strong understanding of physical computing, digital media, and enterprise concepts.
- Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.
Preferred
- Experience with OCR J277 Computer Science, OCR J834 Creative Imedia, or OCR J837 Enterprise and Marketing.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and emerging technologies.
- Experience with industry partnerships or project-based learning.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Background in professional development or leadership within a school setting.
