The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Computing Teacher (Part-Time) to join our thriving department and inspire the next generation of digital innovators. The role offers the chance to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach computing, iMedia, and enterprise. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computing, iMedia, and Enterprise to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Support students in understanding evolving technologies, including physical computing, programming, and digital media.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine teaching resources and curriculum content.
  • Integrate new technologies and industry trends into lessons to promote curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Provide individualised support to students of varying abilities to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s computing curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development and stay up to date with industry advancements.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, resilience, and student motivation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computing, iMedia, and Enterprise.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Computing, or willingness to develop expertise in these areas.
  • Strong understanding of physical computing, digital media, and enterprise concepts.
  • Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.

Preferred

  • Experience with OCR J277 Computer Science, OCR J834 Creative Imedia, or OCR J837 Enterprise and Marketing.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with industry partnerships or project-based learning.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Background in professional development or leadership within a school setting.
