The Opportunity:
As a Construction Technician, you will support tutors in practical learning environments, ensure safe and effective workshop spaces, and assist in the preparation of materials. This role offers a chance to grow professionally and contribute to the development of future industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support tutors during practical sessions in workshops and classrooms
- Maintain safe and clean learning environments
- Prepare and manage materials for stock and use
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment
- Provide practical supervision and coaching when appropriate
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Keep accurate records of materials and equipment usage
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Knowledge of construction trade practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Organised and reliable
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role or apprenticeship
- Previous experience in education or training environments
- Commitment to continuous professional development
