The Opportunity:
As a Counsellor - Personal and Emotional Support, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and personal development of students in both day and residential settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal and emotional counselling to students in a day and residential school setting.
- Support students from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Deliver PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) programmes effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and residential staff to ensure student well-being.
- Participate in the school's Enrichment Programme and residential life activities.
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in counselling practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to support student mental health and emotional resilience.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or School Counselling.
- Professional licensure or certification in school counselling or psychology.
- Minimum of 4 years of counselling experience in a school setting.
- Proficiency in English.
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in counselling within India and internationally.
Preferred
- Experience in an international or culturally diverse school environment.
- Fluency in Hindi and/or Telugu.
- Additional certifications in specific counselling methodologies or special education.
- Cross-cultural competency and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
