The Opportunity:

As a Counsellor - Personal and Emotional Support, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and personal development of students in both day and residential settings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal and emotional counselling to students in a day and residential school setting.
  • Support students from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Deliver PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) programmes effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and residential staff to ensure student well-being.
  • Participate in the school's Enrichment Programme and residential life activities.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in counselling practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student mental health and emotional resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or School Counselling.
  • Professional licensure or certification in school counselling or psychology.
  • Minimum of 4 years of counselling experience in a school setting.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in counselling within India and internationally.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international or culturally diverse school environment.
  • Fluency in Hindi and/or Telugu.
  • Additional certifications in specific counselling methodologies or special education.
  • Cross-cultural competency and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
