The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support students during staff absences and ensure a positive learning environment. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of education and student behavior throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students and deliver planned lessons when teaching staff are absent.
- Maintain good order and discipline in line with the school’s behavior management framework.
- Support students in their learning and provide guidance during lessons.
- Assist with break and lunchtime supervision when required.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school during non-teaching hours.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and senior staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of the role and support the school’s priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Commitment to high standards of behavior and student achievement.
- Flexibility to work term-time only and during non-teaching hours.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or learning support.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Experience with behavior management strategies.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
