The Opportunity:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the continuity of learning across all subjects during staff absences. This is a key role in maintaining a high-quality educational experience for students and supporting teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects during staff absence.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a purposeful learning environment.
- Deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum and age-related learning expectations.
- Communicate clearly with students, teaching staff, and support colleagues.
- Implement behaviour management strategies that promote respect and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with Heads of Department and the wider education team.
- Ensure the smooth running of lessons and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Adapt to changing needs and support the school’s commitment to excellence in education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C / Grade 4 or above, or an equivalent level of qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Understanding of the school curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or classroom supervision.
- Knowledge of assessment procedures and learning expectations.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
