The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to provide a high-quality educational experience for students across multiple subjects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects to ensure student progress and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and department staff to maintain consistent teaching standards.
  • Support students in developing the knowledge, understanding, and skills outlined in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Participate in planning and preparation sessions to ensure effective lesson delivery and curriculum coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in delivering lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality education and student support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, ideally within a secondary school environment.
  • Familiarity with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience with inclusive education practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equality and diversity.
