The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to support the Finance Department in managing sales ledger duties and ensuring effective credit control. This role is integral to maintaining the school’s financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general sales ledger duties in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Deliver credit control functions to ensure timely payment and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Support the Finance Department with a range of general financial administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding account balances and payment issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the overall financial operations of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector or non-profit organization.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
  • Previous experience in a part-time or flexible working environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
