The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Criminology Course Leader to join its team and lead the delivery of the Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning and drive academic success in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of the Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
- Manage and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development.
- Engage with students and parents to promote the course and support student success.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Criminology and incorporate them into teaching.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school’s academic and pastoral support systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in delivering Level 3 qualifications.
- Proven leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of Criminology and related subjects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Criminology or related subjects at Level 3.
- Experience with WJEC CBAC qualifications.
- Experience in leading and managing a teaching team.
- Familiarity with post-16 education and student support strategies.
