The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Criminology Course Leader to join its team and lead the delivery of the Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning and drive academic success in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of the Level 3 Applied Diploma in Criminology.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
  • Manage and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Engage with students and parents to promote the course and support student success.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Criminology and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the school’s academic and pastoral support systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in delivering Level 3 qualifications.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Criminology and related subjects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Criminology or related subjects at Level 3.
  • Experience with WJEC CBAC qualifications.
  • Experience in leading and managing a teaching team.
  • Familiarity with post-16 education and student support strategies.
