The Opportunity:

As a Curriculum Coordinator - Arts, you will lead and support the development of inclusive Arts curriculums, ensuring students achieve excellent outcomes. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inclusive Arts curriculums tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Coordinate the registration, assessment, and moderation of Arts-related qualifications.
  • Manage and support teaching staff, including conducting lesson observations and providing professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with students, parents, and the leadership team to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately to record academic and personal development progress.
  • Maintain and update curriculums as needed to reflect best practices and student needs.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and equality across the provision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant teaching experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Arts-related subjects such as Art, Drama, Music, Design & Technology, Textiles, or Food Technology.
  • Previous experience in curriculum management or leadership roles.
  • Ability to manage and support a team of teachers and practitioners.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Experience in exam and qualification moderation.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
