Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a coherent, high-quality Design and Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Lead and support staff in improving teaching and learning practices within the subject.
- Stay up to date with current trends, technologies, and teaching methods in Design and Technology.
- Deliver outstanding results in GCSE and A Level Design and Technology.
- Model excellent classroom practice and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Manage multiple priorities and contribute to the wider curriculum through enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance professional development and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong knowledge of Design and Technology curriculum and pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high achievement in GCSE and A Level qualifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student success and staff development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or senior management roles.
- Familiarity with new technologies and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development programs.
- Involvement in extracurricular and enrichment activities.
