The Opportunity:
As a Curriculum Leader for Design in the MYP and IBDP, you will shape and lead curriculum development that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and real-world application. This is a key leadership role for an experienced educator passionate about driving academic excellence and innovation in design education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a high-quality, globally relevant curriculum for Design in the MYP and IBDP.
- Collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to ensure alignment with IB standards and best practices.
- Provide leadership and support to teaching staff, including mentoring and professional development.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, using data to inform curriculum improvements and student outcomes.
- Stay current with global trends and innovations in design education and integrate these into the curriculum.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic goals and initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage and coordinate cross-curricular projects and events that enhance student engagement and learning.
- Ensure all curriculum materials and assessments meet IB requirements and promote student achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A university degree and recognized teaching qualification.
- Extensive experience in the IB program, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage curriculum development.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in collaborative and team-based environments.
- A data-informed approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to set and meet performance targets.
- A commitment to professional growth and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving educational environment.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or senior teaching roles.
- Familiarity with the Nord Anglia Education framework and global initiatives.
- Experience with cross-curricular collaboration and project-based learning.
