The Opportunity:
As Curriculum Leader Design & Technology, you will lead the strategic development of the curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. This is a key role in a high-performing institution, where you can inspire students and drive innovation in design and technology education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of the Design, Technology, and Food Technology curriculum.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging and innovative lessons.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in practical learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote STEM and cross-curricular opportunities.
- Line manage and support departmental staff, fostering professional growth and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience teaching Design, Technology, and/or Food Technology at secondary level.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a track record of delivering outstanding lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or management.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire creativity and innovation in students.
- Experience with cross-curricular and STEM initiatives.
