The Opportunity:

As a Curriculum Leader in Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT, you will lead and coordinate the work of the Curriculum Area, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on student outcomes and to shape the future of education in a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the work of the Curriculum Area, supported by a team of experienced staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve teaching and learning across Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality lessons and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum across the school.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practice.
  • Work closely with the Senior Technician and other members of the team to maintain and enhance learning environments.
  • Represent the Curriculum Area in meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Substantial and successful advanced level teaching experience in Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate both staff and students.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing the best possible learning experiences for students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across a variety of courses within the Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT curriculum.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with current educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience in working within a large, multi-campus institution.
