The Opportunity:
As a Curriculum Leader in Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT, you will lead and coordinate the work of the Curriculum Area, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the work of the Curriculum Area, supported by a team of experienced staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve teaching and learning across Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT.
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality lessons and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum across the school.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practice.
- Work closely with the Senior Technician and other members of the team to maintain and enhance learning environments.
- Represent the Curriculum Area in meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Substantial and successful advanced level teaching experience in Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate both staff and students.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing the best possible learning experiences for students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across a variety of courses within the Physics, Electronics, Computing and ICT curriculum.
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership roles.
- Familiarity with current educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
- Experience in working within a large, multi-campus institution.
