Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality science curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Lead and support a team of science teachers to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment with school-wide educational goals and values.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development for staff.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student success.
  • Implement innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Contribute to the leadership programme that develops student character and social responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Experience in leading a faculty and improving student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
  • Experience in delivering sustained high attainment and achievement.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience in leading professional development initiatives.
  • Background in leadership and management within an educational setting.
  • Experience with leadership programmes or character development initiatives.
