Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a high-quality science curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Lead and support a team of science teachers to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment with school-wide educational goals and values.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development for staff.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student success.
- Implement innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Contribute to the leadership programme that develops student character and social responsibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Experience in leading a faculty and improving student outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
- Experience in delivering sustained high attainment and achievement.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience in leading professional development initiatives.
- Background in leadership and management within an educational setting.
- Experience with leadership programmes or character development initiatives.
