Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development of the English curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards.
- Work closely with the English Curriculum Leader to implement effective teaching strategies and practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the English department.
- Provide professional development and guidance to English teachers to enhance their practice.
- Collaborate with other curriculum leaders to ensure consistency and alignment across the school.
- Support the school’s commitment to student progress and attainment.
- Contribute to the development of policies and initiatives that promote excellence in English education.
- Engage in regular data analysis to inform curriculum decisions and improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or a similar role.
- Familiarity with the Trinity MAT and its professional development initiatives.
- Experience in working with cross-phase or multi-academy trusts.
- Strong track record in improving student outcomes in English.
