Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the academic development of the Upper School curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategic academic goals are met
- Mentor and develop staff to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure high standards are maintained
- Represent the school in academic forums and professional networks
- Promote continuous improvement in teaching practices and student engagement
- Support the implementation of new educational initiatives and technologies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status with relevant in-service training
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of Upper School educational practices and policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Knowledge of positive discipline and child development
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
Preferred
- Senior leadership qualification (e.g., MA, NPQH)
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching approaches
- Familiarity with international educational frameworks and standards
- Coaching or mentoring experience
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school life
