The Opportunity:
As Deputy Head Co-curricular, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the school’s co-curricular provision for students across the full age range. This is a strategic position that ensures co-curricular activities are world-class and fully integrated into the educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the co-curricular program for students from Pre-Reception to Upper Sixth.
- Provide strategic direction and ensure co-curricular activities align with the school’s educational vision.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate co-curricular experiences into the overall curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate staff, students, and stakeholders to achieve excellence in co-curricular provision.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of co-curricular programs on student development and engagement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in all co-curricular activities.
- Represent the school at external events and engage with parents, students, and the wider community.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and wellbeing policies across all co-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably in co-curricular or extracurricular development.
- Strong understanding of the importance of co-curricular activities in a holistic education.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards shared goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos, values, and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in a boarding or day school environment.
- Background in developing and managing large-scale co-curricular programs.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in co-curricular education.
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation of educational programs.
