The Opportunity:

As Deputy Head Co-curricular, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the school’s co-curricular provision for students across the full age range. This is a strategic position that ensures co-curricular activities are world-class and fully integrated into the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the co-curricular program for students from Pre-Reception to Upper Sixth.
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure co-curricular activities align with the school’s educational vision.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate co-curricular experiences into the overall curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate staff, students, and stakeholders to achieve excellence in co-curricular provision.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of co-curricular programs on student development and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in all co-curricular activities.
  • Represent the school at external events and engage with parents, students, and the wider community.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and wellbeing policies across all co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably in co-curricular or extracurricular development.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of co-curricular activities in a holistic education.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards shared goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos, values, and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding or day school environment.
  • Background in developing and managing large-scale co-curricular programs.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in co-curricular education.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation of educational programs.
