As the Deputy Headteacher - Behaviour & Attitudes, you will play a vital role in shaping the school’s culture and ethos, ensuring every student thrives in a positive and inclusive environment. This is an opportunity to lead on behaviour and attitudes, drive improvements in student performance, and inspire both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour and attitudes across the school.
  • Lead initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and aspirational school culture.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape policies and drive school improvement.
  • Inspire and motivate students, staff, and parents through strong leadership and example.
  • Oversee attendance, rewards, and celebrations to foster a sense of community and achievement.
  • Ensure consistent standards of behaviour and attitudes across all year groups.
  • Support staff development and provide guidance on effective classroom management.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to ensure a whole-school approach to student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • Experience in behaviour management and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading behaviour and attitudes initiatives within a school.
  • Knowledge of school improvement strategies and policies.
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups and communities.
  • A track record of successful school improvement and collaboration with external stakeholders.
