As Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum, Teaching & Learning), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the school. This is a key leadership position that will involve developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies and curriculum frameworks. The role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about driving excellence in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development of the curriculum across all key stages.
- Support and monitor the quality of teaching and learning throughout the school.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with school vision and goals.
- Implement professional development programs for teaching staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in pedagogy.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including parents and educational partners.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in curriculum development and teaching and learning leadership.
- Strong understanding of educational frameworks and assessment systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience working with neurodiverse and cognitively able students.
- Background in special educational needs or inclusive education.
- Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Cavendish Education or similar educational institutions.
