The Opportunity:

As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher and driving the school’s strategic growth and development. This is an opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on students, staff, and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring smooth functioning in the absence of the Headteacher.
  • Promote high-quality teaching and learning by monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating performance.
  • Contribute to the development of a curriculum that supports the highest achievements for all students.
  • Teach part-time within a department, contributing to its work and objectives.
  • Ensure maximum academic and personal progress for students through effective evaluation and support.
  • Engage with parents, students, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and support school goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a continuous improvement plan for the school.
  • Support the development of extracurricular programs that enrich student experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Good Honours degree
  • Leadership experience or training

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching and leading a department
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of best practice teaching methodologies and pastoral care
  • Experience with international education or bilingual curricula
