The Opportunity:
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher and driving the school’s strategic growth and development. This is an opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on students, staff, and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring smooth functioning in the absence of the Headteacher.
- Promote high-quality teaching and learning by monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating performance.
- Contribute to the development of a curriculum that supports the highest achievements for all students.
- Teach part-time within a department, contributing to its work and objectives.
- Ensure maximum academic and personal progress for students through effective evaluation and support.
- Engage with parents, students, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and support school goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a continuous improvement plan for the school.
- Support the development of extracurricular programs that enrich student experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status
- Good Honours degree
- Leadership experience or training
Preferred
- Experience in teaching and leading a department
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Knowledge of best practice teaching methodologies and pastoral care
- Experience with international education or bilingual curricula
