The Opportunity:
As Deputy Headteacher, you will provide strategic leadership across curriculum, creativity, and personal development. You will support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in driving high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and staff development, while promoting trauma-informed and restorative approaches across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in driving high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
- Shape and implement the school’s curriculum and personal development offer.
- Develop and deliver strategic initiatives and school improvement plans.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ambition, and inclusion.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
- Inspire, coach, and develop staff to deliver excellence.
- Promote trauma-informed and restorative approaches across the school.
- Ensure consistent achievement of high standards in teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher (QTS) with outstanding classroom experience
- Inspirational school leader with a clear vision for curriculum and pupil outcomes
- Resilient, approachable leader who thrives in a challenging environment
- Strong communicator who can motivate and influence others
- Professional who models positive behaviour, integrity, and a sense of humour
Preferred
- Experience in strategic leadership within a school setting
- Experience with trauma-informed and restorative practices
- Experience with special educational needs (SEN) provision
- Experience in leading curriculum development
- Experience in staff development and coaching
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum
