Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage specific areas of school development, contributing to the overall strategic direction.
- Support the headteacher in the effective management of the school’s academic, pastoral, and operational priorities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture aligned with the Catholic values of the institution.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders and staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and students, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Represent the school in meetings, events, and external communications.
- Develop and implement policies that support the school’s mission and vision.
- Promote staff wellbeing and professional development across the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, ideally in a senior role such as Deputy Headteacher or Head of Department.
- Strong knowledge of school operations, including curriculum development, staff management, and pastoral care.
- Experience working in a Catholic school or similar faith-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of the school, including a focus on student and staff wellbeing.
Preferred
- Experience in strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school inspection processes.
- Experience with leading whole-school development projects or initiatives.
- Strong track record in achieving high academic outcomes and student engagement.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary in the range of £76,772 to £84,699.
