As a Deputy Headteacher - Quality of Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the school. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning outcomes across the school.
- Work closely with the Quality of Education team and Assistant Headteachers to ensure consistent standards.
- Support the Headteacher in strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
- Lead the development of staff training and professional development programs.
- Ensure effective timetable construction and resource allocation across departments.
- Promote and uphold the school’s Catholic values in all academic and pastoral activities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in student achievement and attainment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning and delivery.
- Experience in managing and leading teams of teachers and support staff.
- A practicing Catholic with a commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A relevant teaching qualification and leadership experience.
Preferred
- Experience in school improvement and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and standards.
- Experience in leading or contributing to whole-school assessment and data analysis.
- Experience with timetable construction and resource management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
